Where u thinking of Joe Kerrigan of the Phillies who later became the pitching coach when Tony Cloniger was dio;s with prostate cancer of the 04 Red Sox nope.
He pitched for Philly then became a pitching coach for the Sox, but this one was not a Red Sox.

In the 80's the Yankees had Lee Smith Jim Kaat Ron Guidry and Tommy John Tommy John was the Pitching coach on the 82 team.
